To access mail from a POP account in Outlook, follow these steps:
- In Outlook, select Tools > E-mail Accounts.
- In the E-mail Accounts window, click the Add a new e-mail account radio button, and then click Next.
- In the Server Type window, click the POP3 radio button, and then click Next.
- Enter your information in the Internet E-mail Settings window:
- Name and e-mail address
- Incoming server: pop.PrimaryDomain
- Outgoing server: smtp.PrimaryDomain
where PrimaryDomain is your hosting account primary domain, set in DomainCentral
Example:
- Incoming: pop.FlowersByLisa.info
- Ougoing: smtp.FlowersByLisa.info
where FlowersByLisa.info is your primary domain
- Username: E-mail address
- Password: Password for the address
- Click the More Settings button. The Internet E-mail Settings box opens.
- Under Mail Account enter a name for this account.
- Click the Outgoing Server tab.
- Select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox and Use same settings as my incoming mail server radio button.
- Click the Advanced tab, and then verify the following settings:
- Incoming server: 110
- Outgoing sever (SMTP): 587
- Incoming server: 110
- Click Next, and then click Finish.
